Evening Prayer Service for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year. Traditionally, the day is spent in prayer and fasting, beginning before sunset on the evening before Yom Kippur and ending after nightfall on the day of Yom Kippur.
The Kol Nidre service is an evening of liturgical prayer as we begin the 25 hour fast. It is customary to wear white.
