Who We Are
Emmaus Road is a community that believes in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and in His Son, Yeshua the Messiah. We approach the Scriptures with an appreciation of the historical and cultural context in which they were written, recognizing the Jewishness of Yeshua and God’s covenant faithfulness with the Jewish people and those who are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel through faith in Yeshua.
Our faith and practice is founded on the Word of God, both the Tanakh (Torah, Prophets and Writings) and the Apostolic Scriptures (Gospels and Epistles). As a community, we celebrate the Appointed Times of the LORD and worship together on the Sabbath.
To further develop our faith and strengthen our relationships within the community, we provide weekly and monthly gathering opportunities. Life Groups and Torah Club meet during the week, while Home Groups, Men’s Fellowship and Women’s Fellowship meet monthly.
History
Emmaus Road began as three families meeting together in our homes and seeking the direction of the LORD. Then during Shavuot (Pentecost) in 2016, we received the call to form a community that reveals Yeshua as the Jewish Messiah and helps believers grow deeper in the faith. Our congregation is a bridge connecting Jews and Christians, where both Jew and Gentile are united in the body of Messiah.
Emmaus Road was officially launched during Hanukkah later that same year. The LORD quickly brought others to walk along with us, and has continued to draw us together as a strong and welcoming community.
