Parashat Vayeira
“Is anything too difficult for the LORD?” This is a rhetorical question God asks Abraham a few moments after telling him that his aged wife will have a child. For Abraham and Sarah, there was no reason to believe they would ever have a child because he was 99 and she was 89. But with God, all things are possible!
We are a nation and body of believers in need of hope. We need to believe that God really can bring life from the dead! He has done it before, and he’ll do it again.
Even when it looks like a dream has ended, that things are over, there is yet hope because it’s not over until God is through!
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for me?”
