Parashat Nitzavim-Vayelech
Fear is something every person faces, but it does not have to be in control. Scripture is clear that fear does not come from God. He has given us power, love, and a sound mind instead.
Understanding your true identity in God is the foundation for overcoming fear. When you fix your eyes on Him rather than on what frightens you, fear begins to lose its grip.
Trust and fear are opposing forces, and the more you trust God, the less fear can take hold. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the decision to refuse to let fear have the final word.
