The giving of Torah at Mount Sinai marked a defining moment in establishing God’s relationship with His people. Rather than being a means of salvation or a list of burdensome rules, the Torah was given in love to an already redeemed people as a way to uphold their covenant relationship with God and to be transformed into His image. The Torah serves as both an expression of God’s character and a practical guide for walking in right relationship with Him. Yeshua demonstrated the Torah’s proper interpretation and application, showing how it reveals God’s character and teaching that keeping God’s commands flows naturally from love and relationship.
