You Must Rule Over Sin
Man’s temptation is to determine what is good based on their own understanding rather than listening to what God has said is good. But the heart is deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9). We must rule over sin, turn from it in repentance and walk in the light of God’s Torah!
Circumcision of the Heart
God will circumcise our hearts and give us a heart of flesh with His Torah written on it. But that does not remove our responsibility to partner with Him in the process – to choose Him, to circumcise our hearts and to observe His commandments.
Our Hope – God is With Us
Our hope is rooted in the truth of who God is, and who we are in Him. When we face a crisis with confidence in Him, He brings wholeness on the other side.
Renewing Our Minds
As new creations in Messiah, we are free to walk according to our new nature of righteousness. And as we do this, we lay down our old identity of sin, and we renew our minds concerning our new nature and who God says we are.
Law and Order
God has created order and offices within the assembly. Confusion reigns when we do not honor those boundaries and distinctions. We need to abide by what God has established, or we may find ourselves drifting into the attitude of Korah.
Free to be Holy
When God forgives a person’s sin and grants them a new heart and a new spirit, they are a new creation. No longer a slave to sin, they can live righteously unto God.
