Our Thanksgiving Offering

Our Thanksgiving Offering

Parashat Tzav / Shabbat HaGadol

As we prepare to celebrate the Passover in remembrance of the exodus from Egypt and the redemption from sin and death we have through our Messiah Yeshua, we want to understand more about the Passover sacrifice. What kind of sacrifice was it and what is the significance of that sacrifice?

The Passover sacrifice is a thanksgiving peace offering brought to proclaim God’s miracles and deliverances. The one bringing the sacrifice hosts a banquet of sorts with many guests and declares the mighty works of God to all the guests. As such, the host becomes a witness to others.

In this time of Passover, may we be witnesses to many others of the great redemption available to all who will come and behold Yeshua, our Passover Lamb!
