Lessons from Korah’s Rebellion demonstrate the powerful contrast between walking by the Spirit and walking by the flesh. This teaching examines how our attitudes and choices affect unity within the community.
Part 1, in a series on the Temple and Priesthood, provides a foundation for God’s everlasting covenant with Aaron and his offspring who serve as ministers in the earthly Temple.
Unlike Korach, Moses and Aaron operated in humility with a heart that desired to make God’s Name great rather than their own. Because of this, God made their names great.
In all of that we endure, we have the choice to become those who lift up or those who tear down. We must guard our hearts and minds, always pursuing truth and goodness out of a base of love and peace, for the love of God can redeem!
All too often we fall into error of believing we are immune to negative words and complaining. Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” – 1 Cor. 15:33
God has created order and offices within the assembly. Confusion reigns when we do not honor those boundaries and distinctions. We need to abide by what God has established, or we may find ourselves drifting into the attitude of Korah.
