Though Joseph and his brothers prospered in the land of Egypt, they knew their true home was in the Land God had promised to them in Canaan. So too, are we to prosper in the places God has given us, always remembering where our true home is.
We must become equipped to discern the word of truth by the Spirit, by the Scriptures and with the help of community so that we may walk in faithfulness toward God, not straying to the right or to the left!
The priesthood represented God to the people, and represented the people to God. The High Priest wore garments of glory and splendor and carried on his shoulders and over his heart a remembrance of the Children of Israel when he entered into God’s presence.
